Sorting “Spider-Man: No Way Home” Characters into Hogwarts Houses
We previously Sorted characters from the other Marvel Cinematic Universe TV shows and films into their respective Hogwarts Houses, so we thought we would do the same for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest installment, Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film follows Peter Parker dealing with the effects of a spell that went wrong, resulting in a broken multiverse and several visitors from alternate realities.
Peter Parker / Spider-Man (Tom Holland) – Gryffindor
Although he is very loyal to his friends, and the fact that he was able to escape the mirror dimension using math demonstrates his incredible intelligence, his dominant traits are bravery and courage. Gryffindors are often self-sacrificial, and he demonstrates this at the end of the movie when he tells Dr. Strange to have everyone forget about him in order to stop the villains from entering their universe.
Peter Parker / Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) – Ravenclaw
This version of Peter Parker does have brave and noble characteristics; however, he also possesses great intelligence. Garfield’s Peter Parker created his own web-shooters and suit, and he helps create anti-serums to cure the villains. His knowledge puts him in Ravenclaw.
Peter Parker / Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) – Gryffindor
The original Peter Parker and Spider-Man had to overcome so much. Unlike Tom Holland’s version, Tobey Maguire’s Peter didn’t constantly have his friends around him to help him save the day. His bravery and resilience to continue fighting criminals put him in Gryffindor.
Dr. Strange – Ravenclaw
Before he was a sorcerer, he was a doctor, so he is clearly very intelligent. When the spell failed and the villains entered the universe, Dr. Strange had a slighter colder approach in resolving the problem. Instead of helping them, he wanted to return them to their original timelines, no matter the consequences. His knowledge and intelligence make him a Ravenclaw.
Ned Leeds – Hufflepuff
From the beginning, Ned has always been loyal to Peter and willing to help him in whatever ways he can. It took a memory-wiping spell to split the two of them apart. Ned also has a fantastic moral compass and did everything he could to stop all the villains he and Peter faced. Both of these strong traits make him a Hufflepuff.
Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson – Hufflepuff
Like Ned, MJ stuck to Peter’s side regardless of all the repercussions they faced. Unlike her friends, she had no remarkable abilities, but that didn’t stop her from doing what she could do save the day and protect her universe, making her a Hufflepuff.
May Parker – Hufflepuff
May is determined to help everybody around her to the best of her abilities. In this film, she convinces Peter to give the villains a second chance, a decision that results in her death. Nevertheless, her determination to see the best in people makes her a Hufflepuff.
Max Dillon / Electro – Slytherin
Electro was a power-hungry and cunning character who did everything he could to gain more power. His ambitious nature makes him a great Slytherin.
Norman Osborn / Green Goblin – Ravenclaw
This is complicated because there are two different personalities at play, both of which have very different traits. Norman is saddled with the Green Goblin, who is cruel and manipulative, whereas Norman attempts to fight him and do the right thing. Regardless, both aspects of his personality are incredibly intelligent, making him a Ravenclaw.
Otto Octavius / Doctor Octopus – Ravenclaw
Like Norman, Otto was also a scientist, but one who worked toward researching and building a sustainable fusion power reactor. Once Peter cured him of the artificial intelligence that had infected his brain, he used his immense intelligence to try to help Peter.
