Butterbeer Is Back for “Harry Potter” Takeover of Covent Garden This April
The butterbeer bar is returning to Covent Garden Piazza in the West End of London this Easter holiday from April 8 to 24. This Harry Potter takeover of Covent Garden is being done in partnership with the Harry Potter Photographic Exhibition, just in time for the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, which opens in theaters on April 8 in the United Kingdom.
The butterbeer bar was previously a part of Covent Garden’s Family Food Festival during half term in February and ended on March 1.
This new takeover features interactive pop-ups, including the butterbeer bar, a LEGO installation, a photo opportunity at Platform 9 3/4, and a wand installation. Since the Wizarding World wand installation wrapped up its tour of the UK on April 5 at the Oracle Shopping Centre in Reading, UK, it seems that it will be traveling to this event as well.
The countdown is on for our #HarryPotter Takeover, coming to Covent Garden from the 8th – 24th April 🧙♂️
We've teamed up with the @HPPhotoExhibit to bring you a magical Piazza experience and yes, the iconic Butterbeer Bar is back!

Free souvenir tankards will also be available to those who purchase a ticket to Covent Garden’s Harry Potter Photographic Exhibition when they buy bottled butterbeer.
The Harry Potter Photographic Exhibition gives visitors a chance to explore areas inspired by the Ministry of Magic, Harry Potter, Cursed Child, and Fantastic Beasts. Visitors can pose in front of green screens for photos they can later purchase.
The Harry Potter Photographic Exhibition is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day and is located at 45 Wellington Street, London, UK.
