Jude Law Cast in New “Star Wars” Project
From one big franchise to another, Jude Law, who plays young Albus Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts films, is set to be joining the cast of Star Wars as one of the lead roles in the new Disney+ show Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.
This new series will be set after George Lucas’s original Star Wars trilogy, and Jon Watts, one of the executive producers, began working on it just before Star WarsCelebration 2022 began.

From executive producers Jon Watts (director of the MCU’s Spider-Man trilogy), Christopher Ford (screenwriter of Spider-Man: Homecoming), Jon Favreau (the Iron Man trilogy, the Avengers tetralogy), and Dave Filoni (Star Wars: Rebels, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian), the series follows a group of young children after they get lost on a planet and try to make their way back home.
With this focus on a younger group of actors, Law, who is the only confirmed cast member so far, adds a slice of stardom to the cast, which could potentially contain some unknown young actors.
The question is, what role will Law’s character play in the series? Has he been cast as a good or evil character? Will he have a part to play in helping the group of children return home, will he be an antagonist who gets in their way, or will he perhaps be someone fans are already familiar with from within the franchise?
Unless more plot and character details are revealed (which we hope will be), we’ll have to wait until 2023 to discover the full extent of Law’s character in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.
