Here’s a First Look at the 2022 LEGO “Harry Potter” Advent Calendar
When does the beginning of the holiday season truly begin? That question is hard to answer for us Harry Potter fans, who spend our time dreaming of Hogwarts during Christmas. We’re always excited about the newest merchandise that shows our love of Harry Potter and the holidays. Nonetheless, the franchise showcases countless beautiful Christmas moments that seem magical, giving LEGO plenty to choose from for its annual Advent calendars.
LEGO has given fans a first look at the 2022 LEGO Harry Potter Advent calendar. The Advent calendar is expected to be released in September this year, right before the holiday season begins. Alongside the LEGO Harry Potter Advent calendar, LEGO gave a sneak peek at the Star Wars, LEGO Friends, and LEGO City Advent calendars.
As of now, it has not been announced what the Advent calendar will entail. However, looking at the promotional pictures of the packaging, it seems there may be a similar game to the one included in the 2021 Advent calendar. The packaging for the 2022 Advent calendar shows a top on the front under the photo of the Quidditch pitch. The 2021 Advent calendar focused on the journey from Privet Drive to Hogwarts. It included several famous scenes, such as the barrier of platform nine and three-quarters and the entrance to Diagon Alley. This year’s Advent calendar is expected to be similar but could focus on other aspects of the series.
In addition, Nymphadora Tonks from the 76408 12 Grimmauld Place LEGO set can be seen on the front with Harry Potter. This indicates that both will have miniature figures included within the Advent calendar. It is unclear how many pieces this year’s Advent calendar might have, but it will have the usual 24 builds, one for each day of Advent.
While you wait for more information on this year’s Advent calendar, you can check out any of the other LEGO Harry Potter sets. If that doesn’t satisfy your needs, you can watch Evanna Lynch look at the existing Harry Potter sets at LEGO Con.
