Accio Christmas Cheer: Festive Season Arrives at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London
It’s time to spread some Christmas cheer! Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter has announced some exciting updates coming to the tour in honor of the holiday season.
The Great Hall will once again become a magical “winter wonderland” with ornate Christmas trees, icicles, and sparkling snow. An orchestra of magical instruments, painted by the props department, mimics the atmosphere of Hogwarts during the Triwizard Tournament featured in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
From December 13 to 15, guests will have the opportunity to indulge in a delicious Christmas feast in the Great Hall. Tickets for the dinner will be available beginning at 10 a.m. BST on September 29.
Costumes from the Yule Ball scenes created by costume designer Jany Temime, including Hermione’s famous pink dress, will be featured during the holiday season as well.
The festive additions will also include several updates that are new this year. The Hogwarts Castle fountain will receive a wintery makeover to match other areas of the tour like Diagon Alley, Hagrid’s hut, and the Hogwarts Castle model. The “snow” used in the winter decorations will be created using the same process used by the crew on the Potter film sets. Granulated paper and salt grains are mixed onto the model in a manner similar to dusting sugar onto a cake.
