Celebrate Halloween Weekend with “Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery”

by Brittany Bennett · October 27, 2022

Halloween at Hogwarts is something magical, and it’s no different for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. From spectacular decorations to pumpkin hunting, there’s been a lot to do in-game this month, and Hogwarts Mystery is keeping the spirit alive with a new app icon and the magical loading screen featuring Professor Snape. Let’s dive into some of the spooky fun to be had this month.

This month’s Magical Milestones outfit, Vampire Vibes, offers a perfect touch of class while staying true to the vibes of gothic mystery. This outfit would be perfect for any Halloween party – in-game or not.

In honor of the wonderful season, Hogwarts Mystery is decked out in spooky decor, and we wouldn’t want it any other way. With so many pumpkins all over the castle, the Pumpkin Hunt that happened in-game could’ve given us a run for our Galleons. On Day 1, the Gryffindors hid their pumpkin in the Great Hall. When we found this pumpkin, we were awarded 20 energy. On Day 2, the Slytherins hid their pumpkin in the Whomping Willow, and 500 coins were awarded to all who found it. The Ravenclaws hid their pumpkin in the Potions classroom on Day 3, and another 20 energy was awarded to those who found it. On Day 4, the final day, the Hufflepuffs hid their pumpkin on the training grounds, and we were lucky enough to receive another 500 coins for finding it.

In our last update, the story line was getting intense, and we had more questions than answers. Chapter 45 ends with us having to make an important decision that will ultimately affect our story line in a huge way. The next chapter has us chasing leads, and we find out that “R” is planning to use mind control to wipe out corruption within the Ministry of Magic – but how exactly? Chapter 47 has us questioning if our brother is really on our side or if other family matters are getting in the way.

Let’s take a break from saving the wizarding world and explore some new creatures that have made their way to Hogwarts Mystery. In the Desert Dunes, players can now adopt the Antipodean Opaleye and complete the side quest along with it. This dragon is quite the beauty. If dragons aren’t your thing, we obviously question why but are happy to share some new pet looks for your other furry friends. You can now purchase a black coat for your Crup with a patchwork blanket and an adorable black bat if you have the gems to spend.

Once your creatures are settled, meet us at the Quidditch pitch for the latest chapter. We think we’re finally ready to face the Wellnelly twins, but is everyone else on the team truly prepared? The pressure to take home the Quidditch Cup is real, and we have to wait for Chapter 12 before we know the outcome of the fateful match.

Let’s continue to celebrate the spirit of Halloween in-game with some special adventures! The Hogsmeade Halloween Carnival has come and gone, and special prizes are waiting to be claimed with the festivities. A limited-time event also brings us the creepy tale of Pumpkin Johnny. Will you do your part to keep Pumpkin Johnny from wreaking havoc across Hogwarts?

It’s so magical to imagine a Halloween feast at Hogwarts, and now that we’ve reached Year 7 in-game, we think we could probably take the troll on. Enjoy all the magical haunts in Hogwarts Mystery over the next few days. What’s been your favorite adventure in October?

Potter Quote
