Events Roundup: “Potter” Star at Fan TC Con and Worthwich Wizarding Weekend
We’re reaching the end of October, so be sure to check out the Halloween-themed Harry Potter events taking place at the end of this month, as well as the upcoming events this November, including meeting a Potter actor at Isle of Wight’s Fan TC Con and spending the weekend training to be a wizard at Worthwich Wizarding Weekend.
Halloween and the Party That Must Not Be Named in Denver
Head to Luci’s Shambles & Provisions in Denver, Colorado, on October 29 for a Harry Potter–themed party and costume contest, complete with a DJ, food, and drinks.
On the same day, you can head upstairs to its sister restaurant, Modis in the City, to check out the Wizarding Rock n Roll Art pop-up by the BRDG Project. Entry costs $15 per person.

Fan TC Con in Isle of Wight
In association with Wessex Cancer Trust, Fan TC Con is taking place in Cowes, Isle of Wight, on November 5. There, you’ll be able to meet Hebe Beardsall, who appeared as Ariana Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.
Other people you might see there include The Last Kingdom‘s Joseph Millson, Torchwood actor Kai Owen, and Game of Thrones‘s Clive Mantle. Tickets can be bought online.
Worthwich Wizarding Weekend in Texas
A three-day magical retreat for adults is taking place this November in central Texas at a camp just south of Fort Worth.
Between November 11 and 13, head to Worthwich Wizarding Weekend, where you can attend up to nine wizarding classes (Potions, Charms, Herbology, Divinations, Defensive Magic, Ancient Runes, Magical Creatures, Theory of Magic, and Flying Lessons), living out your dream of attending wizarding school.
Meals are included for the duration of the stay, and there are unlimited drinks, snacks, and nighttime adult brews available.
You’ll also get Sorted into your Hogwarts House and lodge alongside your Housemates. The website describes the accommodations:
Students sorted into the same house stay in a co-ed lodge with twin beds. Groups can request to be sorted together if they wish to share a dorm.
Each lodge has [its] own restrooms and showers with private changing areas, and is equipped with AC/Heating and plenty of electric outlets. Students will need to provide their own bedding, pillows, toiletries (hand soap provided), and towels.
If you’re hosting an upcoming magical event, you can submit it to be included in a future Events Roundup by sending all relevant information to submissions@staff.mugglenet.com.
