New details have been announced about the Harry Potter: A Yule Ball Celebration that will open in Houston, Texas, on November 18, inspired by events that took place in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

There are numerous sessions available, and each will take place over two hours at the historic Paraiso Maravilla in central Houston. Sure to delight Harry Potter fans who have always wanted to experience the magic of Hogwarts themselves, the venue will be transformed into a wintertime ball, reminiscent of the Hogwarts Great Hall during the Triwizard Tournament’s Yule Ball.

With beautiful silver drapings, Christmas trees, festive decorations, scenic pieces for photo opportunities, and much more, the venue is guaranteed to look spectacular. Plus, to make the event even more immersive, the music that will be played has been adapted from the original Harry Potter soundtrack, transporting you straight into the magic.

 

 

Whether you are going to the event alone, as a couple, or as part of a group, it is sure to be a day to remember. Each session, which will be hosted by two masters of ceremonies, alongside four Hogwarts House representatives, will begin with welcome dances and introductions, followed by hors d’oeuvres and opportunities to take photos. There will also be a dance-off competition, a “Champions Waltz,” and a fashion parade where guests can show off their enchanting outfits.

Branded merchandise and themed drinks (including butterbeer) will be available to all guests as they take in the delights of the evening. The food will include some traditional British dishes such as bangers and mash, shepherd’s pie, and tea sandwiches. Guests are encouraged to dress up in their “best formal Wizarding World attire,” though this is not mandatory.

Tickets for the event start at $50, and there are two options available: standard admission (admission to the event) or a premium package (admission to the event with priority access entry, a complimentary drink, and a Harry Potter gift).
