Bloomsbury Announces Major Updates to Harry Potter Book Day
Bloomsbury has announced that its ninth annual celebration of the Harry Potter book series will be quite different this year. Rather than the traditional Harry Potter Book Night, the event will now be called Harry Potter Book Day.
While the 2022 iteration of the celebration was held on February 3, Harry Potter Book Day will be on October 12, 2023. The global event invites all Potter fans to share their love for the series with a free Harry Potter Book Day online kit that includes activities and ideas inspired by the books. Readers can register on Bloomsbury’s website to receive it. Individual events are held in honor of Bloomsbury’s celebration all over the world at libraries, schools, bookshops, and more.
The publisher hopes that the rebranding from Book Night to Book Day will help make the event even more accessible and inclusive for Potter fans of all ages.
