First Two “Fantastic Beasts” Movies Set to Leave HBO Max
If you’re looking to do a rewatch of the Fantastic Beasts films, you might want to get to that sooner rather than later. The first two movies in the franchise, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, will be departing HBO Max on January 31.
As of right now, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will remain on the streaming service. All eight of the Harry Potter films are also still available on HBO Max in the United States.
It’s unclear where Wizarding World fans will be able to stream the first two Fantastic Beasts once they’re removed. The Potter films have had a complicated streaming journey as well since they have bounced back and forth between Peacock and HBO Max a few times in recent years. All eight movies are currently streaming on Peacock in the United States, so the Fantastic Beasts films just might be making a move to that service after the removal.
HBO Max is also the exclusive streaming home of the special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts. The magically nostalgic special isn’t likely to be making any moves any time soon, thankfully, since the reunion was an HBO Max original feature.
Will you be having a full rewatch in advance of the movies’ removal? Let us know in the comments!
