Broadway Preview Date Set for “Merrily We Roll Along” Starring Daniel Radcliffe
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is once again returning to Broadway to star in the revival of the ’80s off-Broadway musical Merrily We Roll Along, and audiences will be pleased to know that a date for its preview performance has now been set.
Producers Sonia Friedman Productions, David Babani, Patrick Catullo, and Jeff Romley have announced that the musical’s first performance will be at the Hudson Theatre, New York, New York, on September 19 later this year.
Set to run for a limited time of 18 weeks, the production will see Radcliffe star alongside Jonathan Groff and Lindsay Mendez as three friends, exploring how their relationships change as they get older. However, the play follows their lives in reverse order, starting when they are in their 40s and ending when they meet for the time in college.
Those wanting to get their hands on tickets don’t have long to wait; first-access presale tickets will be available on March 23 starting at 10 a.m., and general tickets will be available starting March 24. Those eager to watch the musical can sign up for the first-access presale tickets online.

Based on the original play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart that was first shown in 1934, the initial musical production in 1981 closed two weeks after opening due to a very mixed reception.
The revival starring Radcliffe is directed by Maria Friedman and choreographed by Tim Jackson, featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.
