Bonus Puzzles Featuring Peeves the Poltergeist Introduced in “Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells”
The popular match-three mobile game Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells has introduced a new character. Starting today, Peeves the Poltergeist, a much-loved character who didn’t appear in the Harry Potter films, will be popping up and offering bonus rewards to players of the game.
The mischievous character will host the newly introduced bonus puzzles, which appear as bonus levels to expand players’ story progress. These puzzles provide “unexpected and exciting challenges” and offer players the chance “to add to their Win Streak Bonuses and unlock a chest full of spellbinding rewards!”
The bonus puzzles that feature Peeves could appear to players at any point in their journey through the game, with only one chance to complete each puzzle.
If the player isn’t able to complete the bonus puzzle, they will continue on with their journey through the puzzles as normal. If, however, they complete the bonus puzzle, not only can they continue through their normal levels, but they will also receive rewards, including gold, XP, trophies, unlimited lives, and power-ups.
Yaron Leyvand, Executive Vice President – Mobile Studios at Zynga, wants fans of the Wizarding World to experience “a few surprises along the way” as they journey through the game.
The Bonus Puzzles feature adds a new level of excitement to the game, both through the fun appearance of Peeves the [P]oltergeist and the extra rewards that can be earned.
Prior to the introduction of Peeves, players were enjoying a limited-time Fantastic Beasts celebration that allowed them to unlock the unicorn. However, it sounds as though the introduction of Peeves is going to add an extra bit of fun and mischief to the game.
Last year, Puzzles & Spells celebrated its second anniversary by revealing some magical milestones highlighting its success. At the time of its anniversary last September, over 649,000 clubs had been created and over ten billion spells had been cast, and we expect that these figures will be even more impressive by now.
It’s clear that the game’s popularity is only going to continue, and we can’t wait to delve into the mischief of Peeves’s bonus puzzles and find out what more is to come.
