Free Open House and Special Giveaways: “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” Toronto Celebrates Anniversary
Harry Potter fans in Canada can join in on some magical celebrations because Toronto’s Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a week filled with activities for theatergoers.
Running from May 30 through June 4 at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre, the activities include a free open house opportunity and special giveaways at each performance.
Unfortunately, tickets to the open house, which is taking place on June 1 at 12:30 p.m., are now sold out, but those lucky enough to have gotten their hands on one will be treated to a behind-the-scenes look at the play. The open house also includes meeting cast members and taking part in a panel discussion, making the most of prizes, activations, and the chance to win tickets to the production.
The open house will also feature “Selfie Alley,” which can be found in the lobby of the theater and will display four pieces of art that are made from Hogwarts House bookmarks and designed by local artists.
Wizzo! We’re celebrating 1 Year of #CursedChildCAN on June 1 with a free Open House at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre. With an on-stage cast panel discussion, special prizes, activations and the chance to win tickets to the show! Doors open at 11:30am. RSVP at https://t.co/XZjknXdAOj pic.twitter.com/zCdawH8n7L

Those attending the performances themselves between May 30 and June 4 will receive a special giveaway, including Harry Potter LEGO sets, lanyards, and celebratory pins.
If you live near Toronto and have your eye on some Cursed Child tickets, you’d better be quick because sadly, despite a record-breaking run at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre, including the highest weekly gross for a non-musical play in Canadian theater history, Cursed Child Toronto is set to close on July 2.
Will you be there celebrating Cursed Child Toronto’s one-year anniversary later this month?
