Remembrall ’98: Ron Weasley
Congratulations, Hogwarts Class of 1998! Please reflect on your experience at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry by answering some questions about your time at this esteemed institution.
Name:
Ronald Bilius Weasley
Favorite Memory:
Too many to count! Probably when my brother Charlie sent some friends to come get Norbert… or maybe when Fred and George made a fool of Umbridge… or the time I made the Gryffindor Quidditch team…
Favorite Class:
My favorite class was Care of Magical Creatures, because it was one of the easier ones.
Least Favorite Class:
My least favorite class was Potions. I don’t know how I never blew something up.
Favorite Teacher:
My favorite professor was Hagrid. I loved how he went from groundskeeper to professor and he always had our backs.
Least Favorite Teacher:
Snape was the worst professor – right foul git the whole time.
Who is a classmate whom you wish you had gotten to know more during your time at Hogwarts?
Luna Lovegood. She was bloody brilliant in the battle at the Ministry.
What were your go-to snacks?
There was never a time I didn’t have one of Fred and George’s sweets – came in handy whenever I needed to get out of class. I also love a good treacle tart or box of Bertie Bott’s.
What advice would you give to first years?
If the annoying know-it-all in your year gets trapped in a bathroom with a mountain troll, go rescue her. You may just end up together.
What Hogwarts professor do you wish were head of your House?
Nobody could’ve been better than McGonagall, ‘cept maybe Hagrid.
What would you change about your time at Hogwarts?
Probably would’ve gotten rid of moldy Voldy earlier on. Or maybe not dated Lavender Brown – save me a load of headaches from ‘Mione.
What was the most surprising thing you learned about yourself during your time at Hogwarts?
I feel like my time at Hogwarts helped me be more confident in myself and my worth as a wizard and a friend.
