Harry Potter: Magic at Play Is Traveling to Seattle
Harry Potter: Magic at Play is heading to a new location to share the joys of the wizarding world with fans across the US, leaving behind a successful run in Chicago, Illinois, to set up a new home in the Seattle area – in Bellevue, Washington, beginning November 10.
The interactive exhibit allows fans to experience Harry’s journey in a new way, playing games and exploring sensory attractions through the more than 20 touchpoints in the experience. The change of location hasn’t come with any announced changes to the exhibit. Fans can still expect to walk through the doors of 4 Privet Drive before hopping on a boat across the lake to Hogwarts and learning the basics of Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts. The exhibit was created by Warner Bros. Global Themed Entertainment and Original X Productions, whose CEO, Stacy Moscatelli, shared the team’s delight to be moving, saying that they “can’t wait to invite fans of all ages to experience the Wizarding World franchise in a new and exciting way.”

During the exhibit’s debut in Chicago, fans could visit 30,000 square feet of wizarding world magic. The attraction was so popular that its time in the city was extended, meaning that it left only earlier this week. The venue in Chicago could also be rented for special occasions and celebrations, something that presumably will also be available at the new location. One thing that will definitely be moving along with the exhibition is the exclusive on-site merchandise store and butterbeer cafe, which are open to both ticket holders and members of the public.
Tickets for the new location went on pre-sale to members of the Harry Potter Fan Club yesterday, and general sale tickets go on sale today at 10 a.m. PT, but you can sign up to the ticket waitlist now. Timed entry tickets to the whole exhibition are $29 for adults and $22.50 for children under nine. Are you planning a trip to visit soon?
