Daniel Radcliffe’s “Merrily We Roll Along” Is Being Filmed

The award-winning Broadway musical Merrily We Roll Along, starring Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe, Jonathan Groff, and Lindsay Mendez, is reportedly being filmed.

According to Deadline, a production insider confirmed that the musical is being recorded and that the production company shooting it is RadicalMedia, the same company that proshot and produced Hamilton

While there has been no confirmation on whether the filmed version will be available in cinemas, on TV, or on a streaming service, the insider explained the reasoning behind the filming:

The show producers are filming their production of ‘Merrily’ for posterity. That doesn’t happen very often. We’ll see what happens.

The prospect of Merrily being filmed is an exciting one, making it more accessible for audiences around the world who haven’t been able to see it in person.

The Hudson Theatre, the home of Merrily, is situated on 44th Street in Manhattan. There has been speculation about Merrily being filmed since paper notices were posted along 44th Street giving notice that some filming would be taking place on June 17 and 18.
