New Concept Art and Model of Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe Preview Center
Earlier this year, Universal Orlando Resort shared its first official look at the new Epic Universe, and photos were also taken of newly created magical murals that had appeared at the upcoming park. Now, with Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe Preview Center in CityWalk Orlando opening to the public this month, sneak peeks of the new experience have been revealed.
The Epic Universe theme park is set to open in 2025, and the Wizarding World section of the park has been confirmed to be called the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic. It will showcase 1920s Paris, France, as seen in the Fantastic Beasts films, and the British Ministry from the Harry Potter films.
The new sneak peeks include a huge park model, new concept artwork, and Wizarding World merchandise.
Park model
The Epic Universe model, which takes up the majority of the space inside the preview center, is a scale model showcasing every little detail of the park, from the attractions themselves to where each tree will be planted.
The model includes a fantastic augmented reality feature. It allows visitors with compatible phones to download an app to watch elements of the park come to life, such as owls flying over the Ministry of Magic.
Concept artwork
Giving us an idea of what to expect, Universal’s very first concept artwork showing the inside of the Ministry of Magic section displays a Parisian street filled with visitors. At the end of the street sits the Circus Arcanus tent from Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
The huge piece of concept art also provides those visiting the preview center with a photo opportunity, using the artwork as a backdrop for their snap.
Merchandise
New Wizarding World merchandise will also be available for guests of Epic Universe to buy. From hoodies, t-shirts, and caps to some adorable Niffler backpacks and more, we’d love to get our hands on these exclusive pieces.
We’re excited to see the Wizarding World section of Epic Universe in much more detail. What are you looking forward to seeing or visiting in Universal Orlando’s upcoming Epic Universe?
