Back to Hogwarts Celebrations Announced at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood
It’s August, which means the countdown to Back to Hogwarts on September 1 has begun, and Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort are helping you prepare for the big day with special Back to Hogwarts school bundles and biscuits.
From August 1 through September 1, fans who are visiting Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort are being encouraged to take part in the Back to Hogwarts celebrations by representing their Hogwarts Houses.
Whether you’re a Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin, don’t forget to don your House robes when you visit the theme parks and show off your House pride. You can join in with the Back to Hogwarts celebrations at both at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade at Universal’s Islands of Adventure and at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida.
You will also be able to purchase special Back to Hogwarts school bundles, which include a backpack and a journal (themed to reflect your Hogwarts House), and a Hedwig owl plush. A special themed iced biscuit will also be released on August 12, which will be available to buy at Honeydukes within Hogsmeade in both Orlando and Hollywood, and at Sugarplum’s Sweet Shop in Diagon Alley in Orlando.
The upcoming Back to Hogwarts celebrations this year include worldwide physical and digital celebrations throughout the Harry Potter fandom. While fans are being discouraged from making the journey to King’s Cross station in London on September 1, they won’t miss out on the fun because there will be a live broadcast on the official Harry Potter YouTube channel, where Warner Bros. is set to reveal a showcase of the year ahead. We’re expecting to hear from the likes of publishers, Warner Bros. Games, and the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London.
Plus, those who are in the London area can head to the House of MinaLima to discover a special event with limited-edition pin badges and other surprises.
