New Trailers Drop for “Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions”: Get Match-Ready Before the Game’s Release

A couple of new trailers have dropped for the next installment in the long list of wizarding world video games, bringing with them more details about gameplay and avatar creation in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions.

The first trailer has been named “Magic Is in the Air” and gets us feeling nostalgic by connecting some clips from the original films to the new game.

The second trailer is the “Official Launch Gameplay Walkthrough Trailer” and is longer than any of the previous ones, with five and a half minutes of details on what to expect from the game.

We already knew from previous trailers that the game would let players step into any role on the Quidditch pitch, taking on the Snitch as a Seeker, taking on Bludgers as a Beater, or taking charge of the Quaffle as either a Chaser or a Keeper. These trailers show a bit more action from each position, as well as sharing the characters whom you’ll be able to play as.

While there is an option to create your own avatar from a myriad of options, well-known characters are already pre-made and available too. From the Gryffindor team of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Ginny Weasley, and plenty of others, to the green robes of Draco Malfoy or the Ravenclaw blue of Cho Chang, there are plenty of choices to show your House pride.

The trailers also show a wide variety of venues that you’ll be able to choose from when deciding where to play. There’s the option for competitive but low-stakes matches in the back garden at the Burrow, or you can take on the biggest prize of them all at the Quidditch World Cup. School games are obviously also a big part of the game, with the trailers not only showing the Hogwarts pitch but teasing the pitch of international school Beauxbatons as well.

The game will be available to play from September 3 but can be preordered now. The preorder options include a basic package, only including the game itself, and the Deluxe Edition, which features 2000 Gold and a House pack of your choice. The pack makes it easier to show off your House, from broom skins to uniforms and emblems.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will be available on most platforms, including Xbox, PC, and PlayStation. If you’d rather get a physical copy of the game, you’ll have to hold out a little longer. Physical copies of the Deluxe Edition for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X will be available on November 8. There’s an even longer wait for Nintendo players, with a promise of a holiday season release on the Switch.

There are more goodies alongside the game’s release. For any PlayStation Plus members, the game will be available for free from its release until the end of September. Players will have access to the game as long as they stay a member of the service, and they will also be able to claim a Firebolt Supreme broom skin as a redeemable pack.

Are you looking forward to getting out on a Quidditch pitch?
