Sorting “Bridgerton” Characters Into Hogwarts Houses – Part 1

Dearest gentle reader, Season 3 of Bridgerton was released this year, and we are abuzz with Lady Whistledown’s latest gossip. Each character in this Regency-era TV show reflects the four Hogwarts Houses with their bravery, cleverness, kindness, and wit. Since Season 1, numerous characters have been added to London’s high society and more whirlwind love stories have been told. From Penelope to Benedict to Queen Charlotte, which Houses would you sort the characters of Bridgerton into? Here is part one!

Penelope Featherington – Slytherin

Penelope Featherington may come from a house of citrus colors, but her resourcefulness and quiet cleverness Sort her into Slytherin. For many years, Penelope was overlooked and underestimated. She used this to her benefit to be self-sufficient and write the most sought-after scandal sheet in London’s high society.

Eloise Bridgerton – Ravenclaw

Eloise Bridgerton has no interest in attending society balls or finding a romantic match. She would much rather journal in a notebook or sit at home with a good book. From searching for Lady Whistledown’s true identity to sneaking off to secret meetings, her independent mind and loyalty to a close few make her a true Ravenclaw.

Benedict Bridgerton – Hufflepuff

As the second oldest Bridgerton sibling, Benedict Bridgerton basks in the freedom of pursuing different interests. He is a compassionate artist who is always open to new experiences. Benedict is looking to find his place in the world and is not afraid to take a chance. Because of this and his kind and goofy demeanor, Benedict would be Sorted into Hufflepuff.

Viscount Anthony Bridgerton – Gryffindor

Head of Bridgerton house after the passing of his father, Lord Anthony Bridgerton is a Gryffindor. His loyal and protective role amongst his siblings shows that he would do anything for his family and the Bridgerton name. After meeting Kate Sharma in Season 2, his character learned to love and forgive himself.

Lady Agatha (Soma) Danbury – Slytherin

Lady Danbury is observant and cunning. She is a widow who throws the best parties and knows everyone in the Ton (and their secrets). As a personal confidant of Queen Charlotte, her advice is trusted and sought-after. When she has an idea, she always makes sure it happens! Lady Danbury would be Sorted into Slytherin.

Francesca Bridgerton – Ravenclaw

This season was Francesca Bridgerton’s societal debut into the Ton. Introverted with a love for music, she struggled during the social season to fit in with her peers and wanted nothing more than to get away from all the noise. Staying true to herself allowed her to make a real connection with Lord John Stirling. Her self-awareness and authenticity make her a Ravenclaw.

Colin Bridgerton – Hufflepuff

Over the past three seasons, Colin Bridgerton has grown into a kind, well-traveled, knowledgeable character. His willingness and hopefulness to see the best in people allow him to see the good in the world and follow his dreams, whether that is gallivanting across Europe or writing a book. He is a true Hufflepuff.

Queen Charlotte – Ravenclaw

Queen Charlotte is a royal Ravenclaw with quick wit. As the woman who sets the tone for London’s high society, she looks forward to Lady Whistledown’s gossip and keeps an eye out for her next diamond of the season. She enjoys receiving appreciative praise and making a mysterious entrance at the events she chooses to attend.

Do you agree with our Bridgerton Hogwarts House sorting? Who do you relate to the most? Stay tuned for Part 2!
