Butterbeer Will Soon Be Sold at Universal Orlando CityWalk

An expanded retail area is in the works at Universal Orlando Resort, and just in time for the upcoming Ministry of Magic area at Epic Universe, it’s set to have some magical additions for Harry Potter fans.

In 2025, the flagship Universal Studios Store in Orlando’s Universal CityWalk will have a dedicated area for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, as well as SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.

The new Potter retail area will be inspired by the three Wizarding World lands: Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure, Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida, and Epic Universe’s Ministry of Magic, which is opening in 2025.

With merchandise from all three of these lands, there’s sure to be an amazing range of items to choose from, from both the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts franchises.

One thing we do know is that the fan favourite Wizarding World drink, butterbeer, is going to be sold there, available in a whole host of different ways: hot, cold, and frozen, and with a vegan option too. 

The dedicated counter at the Universal Studios Store will also be selling “other speciality items,” but what these might be are yet to be revealed.

During a COVID lockdown in 2020, Universal Studios Hollywood temporarily offered butterbeer on its CityWalk at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—Sweets & Treats area there. However, apart from this, this is the first time butterbeer will besold by Universal Orlando outside of its theme parks.

We are expecting more details to be revealed regarding the full extent of the merchandise as well the store expansion opening date in the coming months, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated.

THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER

The expanded retail location will offer merchandise inspired by all three lands of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando – including Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure, Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida and Ministry of Magic, opening in 2025 at Universal Epic Universe. Guests will also be able to enjoy their favorite Butterbeer treats – including the Cold, Frozen, Hot and Vegan beverage varieties – and other specialty items from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at a new dedicated counter in the Universal Studios Store next year.

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD

The newly added SUPER NINTENDO WORLD section in the Universal Studios Store will come with an all-new dedicated entrance inspired by the colorful landscapes and beloved characters from the Nintendo video games. Inside the store, guests will shop an assortment of merchandise featuring favorite characters like Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong and more. SUPER NINTENDO WORLD is one of the five incredibly immersive worlds coming to the Universal Epic Universe theme park opening in 2025.
