“Cursed Child” Updates: New London Cast and Golden Snitch Lottery in Chicago

September 1 marks a new year at Hogwarts, and with it, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is saying goodbye to some of its current cast and is getting ready to welcome a new cast in October. Booking for the London production has also been extended to June of 2025.

Meanwhile, over in the United States, Cursed Child Chicago is launching a Golden Snitch Lottery.

There are still a few weeks left to catch the Year 7 cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre in London. Starting October 15, the Year 8 cast will be welcomed.

Cursed Child London is welcoming some brand-new people to the cast, while five of the seven main cast members are returning. Claire Lams joins as Ginny Potter, alongside David Ricardo-Pearce as Harry Potter and Ellis Rae as their son Albus Potter, both of whom are continuing in their roles.

Taking over the role of Rose Granger-Weasley is Eve De Leon, alongside returnees Thomas Aldridge as Ron Weasley – who has been in this role since way back in 2017 – and Jade Ogugua as Hermione Granger. Steve John Shepherd is set to continue as Draco Malfoy, with Harry Acklowe continuing as his son, Scorpius Malfoy.

The remainder of the cast are Ishmail Aaron, David Annen, Nicole-Lily Baisden, Sabina Cameron, Rob Curtis, Zijuan Elsol, Gabriel Fleary, Rory Fraser, Tim Hibberd, Sally Jayne Hind, Max Hunter, Dewayne Jameson Adams, Emma Louise Jones, Julia Kass, Debra Lawrance, Tasha Lim, Matty Loane, Sophie Matthew, Jaden Oshenye, Helen Power, Jocelyn Prah, Conor Quinn, Ian Redford, Catherine Russell, Martin de los Santos, Adam Slynn, Benjamin Stratton, Alex Tomkins, Jake Tuesley, Sam Varley, and Katie Wimpenny.

The two children’s roles will alternate between Oliver Dawson, Layla Duke, Aubrey Hayes, Rhiannon Parry, Aljosa Radosavljevic, Sienna Sibley, and Ethan Webster.

Booking has also been extended for the London show, with tickets now available to book until June 29, 2025. Tickets for the two-part production start at £15 ($19.70) per part and can be purchased online.

 

Cursed Child Chicago

The Cursed Child North American Tour has begun in Chicago, and it has launched a Golden Snitch Digital Lottery, similar to previous lotteries in other productions of the play. Each winner will be able to purchase up to two tickets for the show at $40 each. You can enter the lottery online now.

For the performance taking place on September 10, the lottery opened on September 5 and closes on September 9. For the subsequent performances, the lottery will open at 9:00 a.m. CT and close at 5:00 p.m. CT the day prior to the desired performance.
