Katie Leung Joins the Cast of Netflix’s “Bridgerton”
Katie Leung (who plays Cho Chang in the Harry Potter films) has recently joined the cast of another major franchise.
Netflix’s Bridgerton is gearing up for its fourth season. Leung is set to join the show as Lady Araminta Gun, a widow with two daughters whom she is eager to marry off to deserving suitors. She isn’t someone who copes well with threats to her social standing, so she decides Benedict Bridgerton, who is already involved with another young woman, is the perfect man for one of her daughters. This season is set to take on a Cinderella-esque story, with Lady Gun’s daughters acting as the ugly stepsisters and Lady Gun herself trying to get between Benedict and his lover.
Leung is not the first Wizarding World alum to step foot in the Bridgerton world, with Freddie Stroma (Cormac McLaggen) and Regé-Jean Page (an extra in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1) both having been featured in Season 1. Stroma played Prince Friedrich, and Page took on the important role of Simon Basset.
Season 4 of Bridgerton has begun production, but there is no release date in sight as of yet. Will you be tuning in to watch this season of Bridgerton?
