Daniel Radcliffe Cast in Tracy Morgan’s Comedy Pilot
When Daniel Radcliffe isn’t busy winning Tony awards for his stage performances, producing beautiful and moving documentaries, or starring in psychological war thrillers, he likes to relax with a bit more acting. Those devastated by the ending of Miracle Workers can breathe easy: Daniel Radcliffe is joining a new comedy.
The yet-to-be-titled NBC pilot stars Tracy Morgan as Reggie, “a disgraced former football player… on a mission to rehabilitate his image.” Radcliffe will play Arthur Tobin, “an award-winning filmmaker who moves into Reggie’s mansion to film an immersive documentary about the former star running back.”
Also on the announced cast list are Erika Alexander (American Fiction) as Monica – Reggie’s agent, manager, and ex – and Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live) as Gator – a former teammate. Precious Way (Heist 88) and Jalyn Hall (Till) have joined on as well, with Way playing Reggie’s fiancée, Brina, and Hall taking on the role of Reggie and Monica’s high school–aged son.

Daniel Radcliffe played Prince Frederick in “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs the Reverend.”
The pilot is being written by Robert Carlock and Sam Means, both of whom are producing the show along with Tina Fey, Eric Gurian, and David Miner. Radcliffe previously worked with Carlock, Means, and Fey during his time on the cast of the Netflix interactive movie Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs the Reverend.
There’s no word yet on when the pilot will air, but we will update you when the news is shared.
