If you’ve been part of the wizarding world online for a while, chances are we’ve crossed paths before.

Founded in 1999 during the earliest days of the Harry Potter phenomenon, MuggleNet grew into one of the largest and longest-running fan sites in the world. Millions of readers have gathered with us to celebrate the stories and magic. From book releases to movie premieres to in-person events, there are too many memories to count.

Now, we begin our next chapter.

A new era for a new era

Over the past six months, we’ve rebuilt MuggleNet from the ground up. This is an entirely new platform designed for the next phase of Wizarding World fandom. As the world Harry Potter expands once again with the upcoming HBO television series and the global success of Hogwarts Legacy (and its rumored-but-not-yet-confirmed sequel), there’s never been a better time to bring the magic back to life. We’re excited to welcome back longtime fans and introduce ourselves to a whole new generation discovering the Wizarding World for the first time.

What’s inside

The new MuggleNet is built to be a place where fans can explore, play, and dive deeper than ever before. You’ll find brand-new quizzes and trivia challenges, word games, and other interactive features designed to test your knowledge and spark some friendly competition.

We’ve also launched a new MuggleNet Shop, bringing together the best merchandise from across the world. Rather than a store, the shop is a curation hub of our favorite things, from official merch to collectibles to beautiful licensed replicas. You can learn more about how the shop works here.

For those who love exploring the lore of the Wizarding World, we’ve built a reference library with all-new deep-dive resources covering topics like Patronuses, wand woods and cores, but also recipes and guides to DIY crafts for fun at home.

A whimisical new look

You may also notice that MuggleNet itself looks a little different. We’re absolutely thrilled that our new logo was designed by Alexandria Vernon, the same creative mind behind the mark for the 2023 Wonka film, and we’re thrilled to share a behind-the-scenes interview with the designer about the process and inspiration behind the new look. You can read that conversation here.

Honoring the past

At the same time, we know how much history lives within these digital halls. We are currently working on an archive of the previous version of MuggleNet, which will preserve the past so many grew to love.

MuggleNet has always been a reminder of how the Wizarding World can bring people together across continents and generations. As the Wizarding World begins its next era, we’re thrilled to start ours as well.
