Daniel Radcliffe’s co-stars in “Brooklyn Bridge” announced
As we first reported back in January, Daniel Radcliffe will soon be starring in a new film, the biopic Brooklyn Bridge. In the film, Radcliffe will be portraying Washington Roebling, a young engineer given the task of overseeing the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge after his father’s passing. Thanks to a report from Variety, we now know who will be starring alongside him. Oscar-winning actor Ben Kingsley will be playing the father of Radcliffe’s character in the film, while actress Brie Larson (21 Jump Street) will be playing the role of his wife, Emily.
As Variety writes,
Inspired by true events, Radcliffe will play the brilliant but inexperienced engineer Washington Roebling who is left to oversee the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge when his father (Kingsley) passes away. Besieged by calamity, danger and doubt, Washington’s obsession threatens his health, and to drive his family apart, until he discovers he has an improbable ally… His charming and shrewd wife Emily (Larson).
While Brooklyn Bridge was first scheduled to begin filming over the summer, Variety reports that it is now scheduled to shoot in the spring of 2015.
