Happy Birthday, MuggleNet: Keeping Magic Alive Since 1999
In October 1999, 12-year-old Emerson Spartz formed the first piece of what would later become Spartz Inc. In honor of MuggleNet’s 16th birthday, I thought we should take a look at what makes MuggleNet the go to place for Potter fans even after the series has been long finished.
1. Everything Potter
MuggleNet seriously has everything you could ever need. Have you ever wanted to make Cauldron Cakes? We can teach you!
2. So many podcasts!
Whether you want to revisit the series through a chapter-by-chapter discussion with Alohomora! or delve into the scholarly side of Rowling’s work with MuggleNet Academia, we’ve got you covered!
3. Up-to-date coverage
Although the original book series has come to a close, there is still plenty to report on, and MuggleNet is right on top of it all!
4. The Wall of Shame
Seriously, though. Who doesn’t love reading through those ridiculous emails that people actually took the time to write?
5. April Fool’s pranks
We know how to April Fool here. Lets just say it’s best to check the date on something if it seems a little out there…
6. Getting all emotional
Yep, all those death anniversary posts and reminiscing about book releases? Our main goal was to make you get a little emotional. You’re welcome.
7. Wizolympics
Nobody reports on international magical sports quite like we do.
8. The best staff ever
You can’t sit with us. You would think that’s what everyone on the MuggleNet staff would be saying because they are THAT cool, but that couldn’t be any further from reality. We have the nicest, most genuine people on this team who are insanely knowledgable and passionate about Potter.
9. Creativity
We are always looking for new ways to approach the material that we all know like the back of our hands. Fresh and engaging is our goal when putting out creative content for the fandom.
10. Setting people straight when they’re hating on our boy
Here’s to another 16 years of maintaining the magic. Happy birthday, MuggleNet!
