Julie Walters spends a day as mentor for International Day of the Girl
Julie Walters (Mrs. Weasley) spent a day last week mentoring school girls as part of a team of inspiring British women. The group also included Olympians Victoria Pendleton and Christine Ohuruogu, Rachel Johnson, Mary Portas, and more.
The scheme was organized in order to mark the third United Nations International Day of the Girl. It is the second year that the scheme has taken place, helping to promote gender equality, and it gives the pupils opportunities to discuss their futures with a range of inspiring mentors.
The mentors and pupils took over the London Eye, marking it with a number of photos:
