Your Wizard Rock Christmas Playlist

by Emily Sniegowski · December 18, 2016

Happy Holidays, Potterheads! I’m taking a break from our regularly scheduled wrock programming to bring you your essential wizard rock Christmas playlist! The songs below are sure to give you some extra holiday cheer this season. So if your family doesn’t already think you’re weird enough, go ahead and pump up the wizard rock this holiday season!

Let’s start with a classic, “The 12 Days of Wizard Christmas” by Gred and Forge. Though I’m not so sure I would want to find any of these things under the Christmas tree…

Next is a song titled from the wisest, most eloquent truism of all time, “Xmas Rulez, Voldemort Droolz,” by Harry and the Potters.

Looking for something a little more… Slytherin this holiday season? Try “All I Want for Christmas” by Draco and the Malfoys.

If you’re missing all your Potter fandom friends during the holidays and need a good cry about it, the song “It’s Not Christmas” by the Moaning Myrtles will provide tear-jerks.

If you still need a Christmas cry, forget that Muggle song “The Christmas Shoes” and instead try “Christmas Mirror” by the Butterbeer Experience.

Okay, enough sadness. “Happy Christmas Day” by Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls is, well, happy!

Let the Mudbloods tell you about the greatest Christmas story ever told: “An Epic Christmas Tale: Chapter One, How the Thestrals Saved Christmas.”

Last year, MuggleNet’s very own Aaron and Florencia performed a beautiful rendition of a Christmas favorite, “Dobby the Daring House Elf.”

“Malfoy for Christmas” by Swish and Flick speaks to many a fangirl who desires to unwrap a Malfoy this year.

Last but certainly not least is a new song from MuggleNet that is sure to be a hit. Check out “I Want an Acromantula for Christmas” by Madison. I’m not sure I agree with her Christmas wish, but the song is pretty fantastic!

Potter History

February 4, 2005 – The first rumors of Elizabeth Hurley being cast as Bellatrix Lestrange appeared, and cropped up several more times throughout the year, but were still debunked each time by Warner Bros.

Potter Quote

“Only this morning, for instance, I took a wrong turning on the way to the bathroom and found myself in a beautifully proportioned room I have never seen before, containing a really rather magnificent collection of chamber pots. When I went back to investigate more closely, I discovered that the room had vanished.”
