Five Other “Harry Potter” Stories I Want To See
After seeing the fan-made teaser trailer for the Voldemort prequel, I started thinking about what other Harry Potter stories I want to see. Below are my top five narratives.
Dumbledore and Grindelwald
I know that we’ll be seeing Dumbledore and Grindelwald in the next Fantastic Beasts film, but I’m not entirely sure how much of their story we’ll actually get to see.
The Marauders
We got to see so little of the four Marauders (James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter), and it would be great to see any of them both during their time at Hogwarts and afterward.
Hagrid’s Story
Hagrid did not have an easy life. His family life was complicated, and even his time at Hogwarts was unfortunately cut short. What did he do after he was expelled? What was the relationship with his father like? There’s so much potential story there.
McGonagall’s History
We know some of her past from Pottermore: She grew up in a house where her Muggle father did not know of his wife’s magical ability. When she was older, she got engaged to a Muggle and (because of her parents’ marriage) broke it off. She had a hard life before Harry came to Hogwarts but still proved to be a strong woman. It would be great to see that translated on screen.
Lupin’s Losses
Poor Lupin. He lost all his closest friends practically overnight. What did he do after he thought Sirius betrayed James and Lily before killing Peter? What was his relationship with the other werewolves like? What else did he struggle with?
