Date Set to Begin Filming for Emma Watson’s “Little Women”
It was just last month that we found out that Emma Watson would take part in a new film adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved coming-of-age novel, Little Women. Now a date has been set for the beginning of filming, and it’s coming up soon!
Today, Geeks WorldWide posted a production update stating that filming will begin on October 6 in Boston, Massachusetts. Filming was originally set to begin in late September. A release date has also been set for the film: It hits theaters on December 25, 2019.
Watson joins Meryl Streep (Out of Africa, The Devil Wears Prada), Laura Dern (Jurassic Park, Wild), Saoirse Ronan (Brooklyn, Lady Bird), Timothée Chalamet (Lady Bird, Interstellar), and Florence Pugh (Lady Macbeth, The Commuter) in the film, which will be directed by Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird, Nights and Weekends).
Hopefully, the swiftly approaching filming date means that we will be getting more news about this project soon. We’re looking forward to hearing details from the set, and finally getting confirmation as to which role Watson will play in the movie!
