Sorting “Game of Thrones” Characters into Hogwarts Houses – Part 1
Game of Thrones, one of the most-watched TV shows in history, came to an end a few months ago. Now that it’s over, I thought it would be a good idea to Sort the characters into their Hogwarts Houses based on their actions over the series.
Daenerys Targaryen – Slytherin
Despite her initial positive actions such as freeing thousands from slavery, she killed thousands of innocent people in King’s Landing in pursuit of the Iron Throne. Her own ambition ended up being her undoing.
Arya Stark – Gryffindor
Arya Stark started the series as a fierce little girl and ended as a brilliant warrior. She had many Gryffindor moments during the eight seasons, but one of her best is her defeat of the Night King. She attacked him, risking her life in the process.
Sansa Stark – Gryffindor
Sansa Stark started the show as a shallow young woman who only wanted romance and riches, but after everything that Joffrey Baratheon and Ramsay Bolton put her through, she turned into a Gryffindor – someone who was brave and determined to do right by her people. Her title as Queen of the North is well deserved.
Brienne of Tarth – Gryffindor
Brienne’s moral compass is absolutely sound. Although she has Hufflepuff traits (such as her love of loyalty), her courage and commitment to doing what’s right make her a great Gryffindor.
Tyrion Lannister – Ravenclaw
From the start of the series, Tyrion was an intelligent man. He ended up using his brains to plan several battles and became Hand of the Queen. Using his own knowledge, he ended the series alive and on the king’s council. Plus, his insults are always full of wit.
Cersei Lannister – Slytherin
Sorting Cersei into Slytherin was an incredibly easy decision. Just like Daenerys, her ambition made her ruthless. Unlike Daenerys, Cersei only wanted power for herself and her children, and she killed everyone who got in her way. However, despite her cunning, she couldn’t defeat a grieving, bloodthirsty Daenerys and Drogon.
Jaime Lannister – Slytherin
Jaime is a very complicated character. His love for his sister, Cersei, brought out the worst in him. When a young Bran Stark saw the incestuous relationship Jaime shared with Cersei, Jaime pushed him out of a tower window to protect it. Not only that, but Jaime killed his family to get back to her too. However, he does have redemptive moments when he goes up north to fight the Night King. Nevertheless, the bond he shares with his sister is too strong to overcome, and he hurts others to get to her.
Jon Snow – Gryffindor
Just like his cousins, he is brave and has strong morals. He does everything he can to do what’s right for others – even killing Daenerys, the woman he loves.
Bran Stark – Ravenclaw
Obviously, his role as the three-eyed raven makes him a Ravenclaw. His wisdom spans centuries, and his visions make him the ultimate Ravenclaw.
Samwell Tarly – Ravenclaw
Samwell was hard to Sort. His love and loyalty to Jon, Gilly, and little Sam are fantastic Hufflepuff qualities. His bravery and determination to fight in the Battle of Winterfell in spite of his lack of skill make him a Gryffindor. However, his knowledge and love of procuring that knowledge make him a Ravenclaw. After all, he is much happier in a library than on the battlefield.
What do you think of my list? Would you Sort anyone differently? Let us know in the comments!
