Sorting “Game of Thrones” Characters into Hogwarts Houses – Part 2

Last month, I Sorted ten Game of Thrones characters into their Hogwarts Houses. Since there have been a lot of main cast members over the course of the series, I thought I’d sort another ten.

Robb Stark – Gryffindor

Robb wanted the best for his people, and even though he never planned to be king, he stepped up to rule. This meant putting himself in the firing line for others, making him a great Gryffindor. Unfortunately, just like other Gryffindors, he is ruled by his heart and not his head at times, which led to the Red Wedding massacre and the deaths of his men, wife, unborn child, and mother.

Varys – Ravenclaw

His cunning and manipulative nature does have Slytherin-esque qualities to it, but his knowledge and wisdom make him a definite Ravenclaw. He used his little birds and other resources to navigate the politics of Westeros.

Melisandre – Slytherin

She is ambitious, cunning, and willing to kill anyone or anything that gets in her way and stops her from achieving her goals. She even birthed a shadow demon to kill her ally’s enemies and was happy to sacrifice children for what she believed was right. Her ambitious nature definitely puts her in Slytherin.

Davos Seaworth – Hufflepuff

Throughout the entire series, Davos proved himself to be an honorable and loyal man to those he believed were right. He has a strong moral code and is willing to fight for his cause.

Jorah Mormont – Hufflepuff

Despite his mistakes early in the show, Jorah proved himself to be loyal to the end. He worked himself back into Daenerys’s good graces, overcame a fatal disease to get back to her, and even sacrificed himself for his queen.

Theon Greyjoy – Slytherin

Before he is captured and tortured by Ramsay Bolton, Theon’s determination to please his family led to his double-crossing the people who grew up with him and raised him. He even resorted to murder to achieve his goals.

Catelyn Stark – Hufflepuff

Catelyn has traits from all of the Houses: She is brave like a Gryffindor, intelligent like a Ravenclaw, slightly manipulative like a Slytherin, and loyal like a Hufflepuff. However, her love and dedication to her family pushes the balance and puts her in Hufflepuff.

Eddard “Ned” Stark – Gryffindor

Just like his wife, he is devoted to his family. However, his unwillingness to bury the truth and his determination to face the consequences of his actions makes him a Gryffindor.

Joffrey Baratheon – Slytherin

Joffrey is incredibly spoiled and selfish. He doesn’t care about other people and their feelings as long as he gets what he wants, including humiliating Sansa.

Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish – Slytherin

Littlefinger shares many traits with Severus Snape. The two men carry a torch for a childhood friend, play multiple sides in wars, and are willing to do anything to get what they want. However, whereas Snape proved himself loyal to the heroes at the end, Littlefinger put himself first. To secure his position, he betrayed his allies, left Sansa with Ramsay, murdered his wife, and much more. His manipulative and selfish nature definitely makes him a Slytherin.
