Social Media Roundup: Birthdays and Throwbacks
Welcome to another edition of Social Media Roundup. This week, wizarding world stars celebrated two special birthdays, shared some amazing throwback photos, wrapped up projects, and lots more. Keep reading to find out what your favorites have been up to.
The end of July brings with it two very important birthdays, and some wizarding world stars took to social media to celebrate the special days of J.K. Rowling and (of course) Harry Potter.
Firstly, Emma Watson posted a photo of herself and Evanna Lynch with J.K. Rowling to celebrate the author’s birthday.
Sexy and scary! 👻 You smashed this. All the love to you @jk_rowling. Happy Birthday!!!! Extra points to @Evy_Lynch for being the most perfect cat. 🐯 pic.twitter.com/GOC208aADO

Evanna also sent well-wishes to Jo (and Harry) with a very appropriate word-of-the-day tweet.
Anyone else just get VERY excited about the word of the day today?! 🐝 I feel like @jk_rowling would. Happy Birthday, Jo + Harry!! May you continue being a reigning literary queen with the power to bring fabulous old English words back into pop culture!! ❤️💛🦁🐝🐝🐝🧙🏻♂️👸🏼 pic.twitter.com/dAB12ljaVz

Chris Rankin also tweeted his birthday wishes, before posing a very unusual Potter question a few days later.
Happy Birthday, Boss! @jk_rowling xxx

Can we have a quick word about how Harry was a selfish arsehole who ruined everyone’s 10+ hour steam train journey from London to SCOTLAND by buying all of the trolley snacks about 30mins in?

Elsewhere, Daniel Radcliffe has had a busy couple of weeks. First, he wrapped filming for the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt interactive Netflix special.
Daniel could also be found across various parts of the internet promoting his newest film, Playmobile: The Movie. He even dropped by Radio One to take on their alphabet prank call challenge.
“That poor man! You could tell he was getting annoyed and I hate annoying people!” 😂
All Daniel Radcliffe has to do is make a prank call where each sentence starts with the next letter of the alphabet… Easy, right? 🤷😂 pic.twitter.com/zEJ1PjcbaP

Now for some throwbacks! Gary Oldman posted these film negatives featuring some shots of himself from 1981.
Jason Isaacs posted a throwback from the set of the TV show Capital City.
Finally, Zoë Kravitz shared a photo from her childhood featuring none other than pop sensation Britney Spears!
That’s it for this week’s Social Media Roundup! Check back next time to see what your wizarding world favorites get up to next!
