The Wizarding World at Universal Orlando Claims Two 2020 Theme Park Insider Awards
As if there wasn’t already reason enough to want to ride Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, here’s another amazing one. Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure was awarded the 2020 Theme Park Insider Award for Best New Roller Coaster.
This ride definitely deserves this award for its innovative coaster experience, which can only be described as a unique combination of a typical roller coaster and the dark, motion-based indoor rides. Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is full of magic from magical creatures like Buckbeak and the infamous Blast-Ended Skrewt to a special appearance from Rubeus Hagrid himself.
Perhaps the greatest testament to the ride’s success is actually the wait times. The longest wait time yet has been an insane ten hours, and the shortest it has been is around two hours. Is the experience of the ride worth a two-hour wait, you ask? Well, riders of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure would be the first to tell you that it definitely is.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort received more than one honor in the 2020 Theme Park Insider Awards. The Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley has been awarded Best Quick Service Restaurant.
While the food at the Leaky Cauldron is second to none, it was the ambience that pushed it over the top in this award category. The inside of the restaurant looks like it was plucked straight out of the films, offering fans a completely immersive experience.
For fans of the Wizarding World, you should know that an honorable mention in this category was also given to the Three Broomsticks, which is located in Hogsmeade at Universal Studios Hollywood.
