“Harry Potter” Characters as Inspirational Quotes
We all have words and quotes that inspire us. As someone who spends most of my time reading, I find that sometimes certain quotes say more about a character than what is actually written on the page. I’ve found a few quotes that just embody different Harry Potter characters.
Sirius Black
This quote reminds me of Sirius Black. He did not passively sit back and obey his family. He fought back, ran away, and created his own family. He did everything he could to fight for what he thought was right, even when it meant leaving his blood family for his friends. He knew what was right, and he rearranged his whole life to join the fight for it.
Albus Dumbledore
Love is the most important thing in Albus Dumbledore’s eyes. This is mentioned several times in the series, so this quote really stands out as something that I think he would live by. He believes that love makes you strong, and this quote perfectly describes that.
Luna Lovegood
This quote reminds me of Luna Lovegood so much. She knows that there are things in life that cannot be seen, but that doesn’t mean that they are not real. No matter who tries to talk her out of her beliefs in some magical creatures, she stands strong in her belief that they exist.
Colin Creevey
Colin Creevey spends most of his first year at Hogwarts documenting everything he can with his camera. He wants to create memories that he can send back to his family. I’m sure that he would find himself relating to this quote because it talks about the best way to grow from your experiences. He went from that young, curious first year to a brave member of Dumbledore’s Army.
Ginny Weasley
Ginny Weasely was possessed by Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and everyone seems to forget about it by the next book. Ginny mentions it in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and it felt like she had just been living with not talking about her feelings over the whole event and that everyone just sort of forgot about it. Ginny used the events that happened to her to help her become one of the strongest women in the books.
Fred and George Weasley
Laughter is one of the most important things in life. Fred and George, our favorite pranksters, knew this and tried to spend their lives making people laugh. They opened their joke shop, Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, during the war because they knew that people needed humor in their lives.
Neville Longbottom
Neville Longbottom spent his years at Hogwarts hiding in the background. It always seemed like he felt that he was lesser than his classmates. Once he joined Dumbledore’s Army, he really seemed to come into his own. In the last book, he helped lead the resistance at Hogwarts and even stepped up to defy Voldemort and kill Nagini during the final battle.
