So get ready to see pictures of adorable pets, song covers, viral challenges, comedy skits, and more as we delve into the magical world of social media.
Emma Watson celebrated her 30th birthday on April 15. She took to Instagram to thank her followers for all of their support.
Tom Felton has been passing the time in lockdown by taking on the #TeapotChallenge. The aim is to stand like a teapot and pass an object from your “spout” arm through your “handle” arm by throwing the object and spinning around. We think we’ll stick to drinking tea!
Tom has also been spending some time training his adorable dog, Willow.
He isn’t the only one to be spending more time with their pets. Evanna Lynch has been enjoying spending more time with her cat, Puff. She shared her photo of Puff with some beautiful Easter flowers and wondered how all of our furry friends will cope when the lockdown is lifted.
Bonnie Wright was also getting into the Easter spirit. She shared a step-by-step photo series of her attempt at making hot cross buns, which turned out to be more like not cross buns!
Also celebrating Easter was Oliver Phelps (George Weasley), who shared a photo of a sunrise he saw from his morning run and encouraged his followers to stay safe.
Also making the most of their outside exercise time was Afshan Azad (Padma Patil), who shared a photo of her cycling adventures.
Some stars of the Wizarding World have still been finding ways to continue with their passions, despite the lockdown.
Jamie Campbell Bower (young Grindelwald) took to Instagram to cover “Waving Through a Window” from the musical Dear Evan Hansen.
The Year 3 cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway got together for an online read-through of the second act of the play.
Jason Isaacs put together a short comedy skit for Red Nose Day USA, showing everyone what it’s like to be an actor in this time of lockdown to encourage people to support healthcare and front-line workers.
And that’s it for this edition of Social Media Roundup! Check back in two weeks’ time to see what your favorite stars of the Wizarding World have been up to.
