“Puffs” Available to Stream Through May 31
Looking for some entertainment to get you through the rest of the month? You can now stream Puffs, or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic from the comfort of your own home, exclusively on Playbill.com!
The Harry Potter-inspired Off-Broadway parody follows the adventures of a group of students at a “certain school” who might have been relegated to background roles in the Potter series. In MuggleNet’s own review of the New York production from 2017, Puffs was described as being “all about the Puffs,” and it’s clear that the show has cast its spell on audiences from New York to Sydney.
Now, a stream of the production of Puffs from New World Stages (and additional interviews) is available from Playbill Playback. The stream will be available until May 31 at 11:59 p.m. ET – or 72 hours after purchase, whichever is sooner. Part of the proceeds from the $8.99 fee will support Frontline Foods.
According to a Playbill article on the Puffs stream, the recording was filmed live in 2018:
The recording was filmed live Off-Broadway in 2018, with a cast featuring Langston Belton, Madeleine Bundy, Jessie Cannizzaro, Nick Carrillo, A.J. Ditty, Julie Ann Earls, James Fouhey, Andy Miller, Zac Moon, Eleanor Philips, Stephen Stout, Anna Dart, and Jake Keefe. Puffs: Live was originally produced by David Carpenter / Tilted Windmills Theatricals
Serving on the creative team are features set and costume designer Madeleine Bundy, lighting designer Herrick Goldman, and sound designer Matt Cox, with original music composed by Brian Hoes.
