Sirius-ly Cute – New Zealand Mint Releases Sirius Black Chibi Coin
We have some Sirius-ly fun news to share. New Zealand Mint has revealed the new chibi coin from the Harry Potter series, and it’s Harry’s godfather, Sirius Black.
This coin is made from 1 oz. of pure silver and is shaped and colored to resemble Sirius on the front side, recognizable by his striped jacket, long hair, and a quizzical look that we’re sure Harry received several times. The backside of the coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, confirming it as legal tender.
The coin is placed into a case specially made for its unique shape. The outer box is Harry Potter-themed and features a large window for easy display. The Certificate of Authenticity is printed on the box, as well as the coin’s unique serial number. There are only 2,000 of these coins made, so you better place your order fast – we expect these coins to sell out faster than you can say “Quidditch.”
This Sirius Black chibi coin can be yours for $99.00, but note that there is a strict limit of three coins per household due to the limited amount. Last month, New Zealand Mint revealed the Lord Voldemort chibi coin, and we can’t wait to see what character will be next.
The Harry Potter series collection keeps getting better. Whom do you hope to see in chibi form? Let us know!
