The Girl Who Saved “Harry Potter”
After Harry Potter failed to meet the standards of many English publishers, Christopher Little sent a copy of the manuscript off to Nigel Newton of Bloomsbury Books. Instead of reading the book himself, Newton passed the first chapter of it off to his 8-year-old daughter, Alice. Newton revealed today that only after she pestered him to continue reading the story did he realize the book was a winner. You can read the rest of the story at the link above.
