Rob Knox Film “(K)nox: The Rob Knox Story” Gets First Public Screening Late Next Month

The highly anticipated film (K)nox: The Rob Knox Story is almost here for the public to watch for the first time. Rob Knox, who played Marcus Belby in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, was unfortunately killed before the film was even released in 2008.

Knox was the victim of a knife crime on a night out at only 18 years old. Thirteen years later, knife crime is on the rise in the United Kingdom and has been described by Knox’s father as “a pandemic.”

Aaron Truss, who works with the Rob Knox Foundation and is the director of (K)nox: The Rob Knox Story, has revealed that the film has been selected for the Soho London Independent Film Festival (SohoLIFF) 2021 in November. The film festival will be showing 37 films this year. Film festival submissions website FilmFreeway states that SohoLIFF explores “the future of purposeful film production and celebrates UK and global filmmaking talent and creativity.” A new trailer has been released in honor of the film’s screening.

Truss shared his excitement for the film’s first-ever public screening:

I can guarantee that Harry Potter fans everywhere will not be disappointed […] I’m incredibly honoured to be helming this project and giving Rob the send[-]off he deserves – as well as raising the issue of knife crime and street violence in the UK.

Truss has also promised fans that something very exciting will be coming to our TV screens soon.

The documentary focuses on Knox’s acting career as well as his life away from the Wizarding World. It also raises awareness of knife crime.

(K)nox: The Rob Knox Story will be available to watch online starting November 20. There will also be very limited tickets available for fans to buy for the screening in London. The film has won three awards from film festivals and has been nominated for seven.
