“Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses”: New Trailer and Details Revealed

A new trailer has been released for the highly anticipated Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses, revealing new details about the show, including some of the special guest stars who will be appearing throughout.

The show, which will be hosted by Dame Helen Mirren, will air its first episode on November 28 on Cartoon Network and TBS.

Revealed in the trailer, we can see that some of the show’s special guest stars will include the very recognizable faces of Shirley Henderson (Moaning Myrtle), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Simon Fisher-Becker (the Fat Friar), and Luke Youngblood (Lee Jordan). Also seen in the trailer are Pete Davidson, star of Saturday Night Live, and comedian Jay Leno, who are both “self-confessed Harry Potter fans.”

The trailer also shows the magical studio that the show is taking place in. With major Quidditch vibes going on, the crowd is seen cheering and waving flags supporting their own Houses, and those taking part in the show are sporting Quidditch sweaters in their corresponding House colors.

As described by Mirren in the trailer, who looks as though she’ll be reading the questions from behind her owl lectern (did she borrow that from the Great Hall?), the contestants will compete in a “head-to-head trivia match about all things Potter.”

The teams will compete against each other in three special episodes, with Gryffindor versus Hufflepuff being the first, and the winning team will advance to the grand finale.

Alongside the eternal glory of winning for their Hogwarts House, the contestants also have an amazing set of other prizes on offer, including a $1,000 shopping spree at the Harry Potter New York store, tickets to the Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and advance screenings of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.

It’s not just Potterheads who are looking forward to this show; Mirren can’t wait either.
