Jude Law Nominated for National Film Award for “Secrets of Dumbledore”: Vote Now!
The National Film Awards announced the nominees for this year’s ceremony earlier this week, and Jude Law has received the first award nomination for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. Law has been nominated in the Best Actor category for his portrayal of Albus Dumbledore.

Other Wizarding World alumnus projects among the nominees include Sir Kenneth Branagh’s (Gilderoy Lockhart) Belfast, which has been very successful this awards season. It has been nominated for several awards, including Best British Film and Best Feature Film. Ciarán Hinds (Aberforth Dumbledore) has also been nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category for his role in the film. Additionally, Dame Judi Dench was nominated in the Best Actress category, and Jude Hill and Jamie Dornan both received Outstanding Performance nominations.
Last Night in Soho, which features James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley), will compete against Belfast for both Best British Film and Best Feature Film while also receiving a nomination in the Best Thriller category.
Jim Broadbent (Professor Slughorn) has been nominated for the Global Contribution to Motion Picture award for his performance in The Duke, which has also been nominated for Best Comedy. Broadbent and The Duke will compete against John Cleese (Nearly Headless Nick) and his role in Father Christmas Is Back in both categories.
Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and Samantha Morton (Mary Lou Barebone) both star in Save the Cinema, which has also been nominated for several awards. Both received individual nominations, Felton for Best Supporting Actor and Morton for Best Actress. The film has also been nominated for Best Drama.
David Tennant (Barty Crouch, Jr.) has been nominated in the Best Actor in a TV Series category for his leading role in Around the World in 80 Days, which has also been nominated for the Best Action in a Film/Series award.
Colin Farrell (Percival Graves) is also among the nominees, having been nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a TV Series for his role in The North Water, which has also been nominated in the Best TV Drama Series category.
The National Film Academy says that 3.5 million film and television fans submitted nominations. The winners are again being voted on by the public, so you can show your support for Jude Law and the rest of the Wizarding World cast members by voting on the National Film Awards website. Be aware that you do have to register and log in.
Voting is open until June 19, and the awards will be handed out at the Porchester in London on July 4. Good luck to all those nominated!
