“Hogwarts Legacy” Drops Location Hints in New Teaser Trailers

by Aly Kirk · June 25, 2022

Hogwarts Legacy recently dropped two new teaser trailers for the video game, and the excitement of seeing new content is almost too much to bear. New and familiar locations were revealed in both teasers. While there certainly may be wonderful nostalgia in seeing familiar sites like Hogwarts Castle, discovering new places throughout the gameplay will provide a fresh perspective on the magical world that wizards inhabit.

The first teaser, dropped on June 15, lets players get a sneak peek at Hogsmeade. In the seven-second video from Hogwarts Legacy, the little wizard village that resides near Hogwarts looks quaint, with brick roads, stone walls, and lush greens scattered around the common areas. The tweet accompanying the video hints that Hogsmeade is accessible from the grounds of Hogwarts by both walking and Floo powder. It makes us wonder what sort of plot will take players to Hogsmeade.

The latest teaser, from June 23, is where things start to get fun. Along with the familiarity of wandering around Hogsmeade and Hogwarts, players are anticipating exciting new adventures as they stray beyond the boundaries of known locations. We can see gorgeous seascapes, cliffs, bluffs, mysterious cathedral-like caverns with intricate statues, and beautiful sunlit trees within tall rock formations. It’s a wonder how far video game technology has come to create places like these for players to explore. Nevertheless, we’re ready to jump in and venture through all these locations and more.

The long-anticipated Hogwarts Legacy has been in the works for years now. Since its official announcement in 2020, the video game has been in a constant case of delayed release. At first, it was expected to be released in 2021, but unexpected delays pushed the game to 2022. According to the teaser trailers, Hogwarts Legacy is now supposed to be released in time for the holiday season. However, rumors are beginning to surface that another delay will push the official game release into 2023. The rumor came from an inside source, but any official word on another hold has yet to be announced.
