“Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery” Introduces The Hogwarts Diary and Celebrates Spooky Season

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery celebrated its fifth anniversary last year but the game hasn’t stopped finding new ways for players to enjoy the wizarding world, from the second volume of the game’s Beyond Hogwarts stories, which was released earlier this year, to a newly-announced series of sideline journeys called The Hogwarts Diary.

From October 23, players will be able to experience new adventures from Hogwarts Diary. Each page of the diary will deliver a new story in addition to the game’s main plot, including a range of activities with characters and creatures alike and plenty of puzzles to solve. Hogwarts Diary will be regularly updated with engaging stories to keep players on their toes. Each puzzle you solve will reveal part of an artwork that will add to an overarching story over time. Invitations to join the challenges can be found in the library by asking Madam Pince.

As well as the new feature, there’s a more seasonal update to the game on the way. Halloween is always celebrated across the Wizarding World, including at theme parks and the studio tour in London, and Hogwarts Mystery is no exception. Players can hunt down House-themed pumpkins throughout this month for magical rewards and try out some all-new side quests. The Vampire of Hogsmeade side quest will see players travel down the passage past the statue of the One-Eyed Witch to get to the bottom of the vampiric rumors circling the school. There’s also a new Creature Expedition featuring a giant Acromantula and a Special Adventure for those who have unlocked the recently released Swooping Evil. The castle and its surrounds, as well as the magical locations available in Beyond Hogwarts, have all been decorated for the occasion.

Will you join in the Halloween celebrations of Hogwarts Mystery? Or are you more excited about the new Hogwarts Diary feature?
