Additional Content Expected in Rumored “Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition”
Hogwarts Legacy, the popular video game inspired by Harry Potter, is rumored to have a “definitive edition” on the way, giving players access to hours more additional content and quests.
According to Insider Gaming, Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition is in development. It is set to have around 10 to 15 hours of extra content, including a new story quest, side quests, activities, and outfits. This content is to be sold as a separate DLC to the current game.
Further details surrounding this rumored edition of Hogwarts Legacy are yet to be officially confirmed, including its release date and price, though according to Insider Gaming, some sources have suggested a 2025 release date and that it could cost between $20 and $30.
Hogwarts Legacy owned the video game charts in 2023, selling over 22 million copies, topping the charts in the United Kingdom by selling more physical copies than any other game that year, and also becoming the bestselling video game in the United States in 2023.
According to Warner Bros. Discovery’s chief financial officer, Gunnar Wiedenfels, the success of the game has led to a sequel being one of Warner Bros. Discovery’s “biggest priorities.”
Obviously, a successor to ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ is one of the biggest priorities in a couple of years down the road. So there is certainly a significant growth contribution from that [games] business in our strategic outlook here.
It should be noted that a Hogwarts Legacy sequel has not yet been announced, and if it is going ahead, it is likely years down the line. And though nothing has been officially confirmed regarding the rumored Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition, Insider Gaming has been known to release accurate leaks.
