“Harry Potter” Soundtrack Vinyl Boxed Set Available for Preorder

Warner Music Group’s catalog developer Rhino recently announced a 16-LP boxed set of the original Harry Potter film soundtracks, featuring over ten hours of music from across all eight films.

The boxed set will include music composed by John Williams – who was honored at the Disney Legends Awards earlier this year – Patrick Doyle, Nicholas Hooper, and Alexandre Desplat. Williams composed the first three films, Doyle created the music for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Hooper did so for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and Desplat wrote the music for both parts of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The boxed set is available in four different variants, one for each of the Hogwarts Houses. Each edition comes with vinyls colored to match the respective House, as well as boxes that are designed with the House crest and colors. All of the films have at least three sides of vinyl, with all but Order of the Phoenix also featuring a fourth D side. Each movie soundtrack has its own specially designed vinyl sleeve, based on the artwork from the movie posters.

The soundtrack boxed set will be released on November 29, priced at $308 US. Each House set is limited to 500 copies in the US, with only 3,000 copies available worldwide. The boxed sets are available for preorder now from the official Warner Music Group website.
