Epic Universe to Introduce New Interactive Wands, Menu Items

Epic Universe is set to open on May 22, and that still might not be soon enough given all the news coming out about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic. Not long ago we were scouring aerial shots of the park for hints of what enchantments lie ahead; now, recent announcements have confirmed that both magical and mouthwatering features await.

The ideal first errand to complete upon entering the park will be purchasing a new interactive wand. Not to slight Ollivander, the wands that will be available at Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique in Place Cachée seem to be in a league of their own. Designed by widely respected artisan wandmaker Cosme Acajor, the wands come in jewel tones and with unique textures and detailing. The sensor at the tip of each allows them to cast spells and interact with objects and beasts throughout the park via infrared camera. The wands are also rumored to link to the Universal Orlando app, potentially allowing guests to track their spell progress or unlock new features.

Wandmaking is an art, as demonstrated by the designs that will be available at “Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique.”

The Ministry of Magic park will offer much more than just a feast for the eyes, as evidenced by the truly bewitching menu items that have been announced. There will be a variety of dining opportunities beyond the portal, including Café L’air De La Sirène and Le Gobelet Noir. The former will offer meals such as Baguette de Dinde, Quiche Lorraine, and, perhaps most significantly, Butterbeer Crepes. The latter will lean heavily into savory dishes, like Lentil Stew and the Alchemist’s Platter. Bar Moonshine is also available for guests looking for some American libations amid U.S. Quidditch team decor.

In short, there’s much to look forward to and just as many reasons to book tickets to this immersive and magical park. But if you need any more convincing, take a look at the recent commercial for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic. The ad aired at the Superbowl and gave viewers a closer look at the park’s distinctive portal entrance.

We rest our case.
