Sorting “Captain America: Brave New World” Characters into Their Hogwarts Houses
Captain America: Brave New World is one of the latest additions to the MCU. This new movie follows Sam Wilson – taking on the mantle of Captain America from Steve Rogers – accompanied by the new Falcon, Joaquin Torres. As we’ve Sorted characters from previous MCU shows and films into their Hogwarts Houses, we thought we would do the same for this latest installment.
Sam Wilson – Gryffindor
Sam Wilson, the new Captain America, is a natural Gryffindor. He embodies bravery and courage by stepping up to wield the shield despite immense pressure. Like Harry Potter, Sam never sought out power but took on responsibility because it was the right thing to do. Unlike the previous Captain America, Sam Wilson is 100% human, without any super-serum or supernatural abilities – so the choice to put himself at risk makes him a true Gryffindor.
Joaquin Torres – Ravenclaw
The new Falcon, Joaquin Torres, is quick-thinking, adaptable, and deeply analytical, making him a perfect Ravenclaw. His intelligence and problem-solving skills make him a valuable ally and friend to Sam Wilson. Whether piloting advanced tech or assessing threats, Torres thrives on knowledge and strategy, fitting right in with Hogwarts’s wisest house.
Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross – Slytherin
Now serving as the President of the United States, Thunderbolt Ross is driven by ambition, a typical Slytherin trait. He has always prioritized power, whether through the Super Soldier program or his pursuit of the Hulk. Though his methods are questionable, Ross is undeniably strategic, manipulative, and resourceful, putting him in Slytherin.
Isaiah Bradley – Hufflepuff
Isaiah Bradley’s loyalty, perseverance, and quiet strength make him a true Hufflepuff. Despite the injustices he faced after being experimented on as a super soldier, he remained steadfast in his values and devoted to protecting his family. His story reflects the resilience and deep sense of justice that defines Hufflepuff House.
The Leader (Samuel Sterns) – Slytherin
Samuel Sterns, aka the Leader, is one of the MCU’s most brilliant minds. With his gamma-enhanced intellect, he has superhuman intelligence and the ability to calculate probabilities. However, he uses these abilities and knowledge to control others. This cunning and manipulative nature places him firmly in Slytherin.
Sabra – Gryffindor
Shira Haas’s character, Sabra, is a powerful hero known for her courage and strong moral compass, making her a natural Gryffindor. She isn’t afraid to take on dangerous missions and stand up for what she believes in, embodying the House’s fearless spirit.
Bucky Barnes – Hufflepuff
Bucky Barnes is an incredibly complicated character who has gone through a lot since Captain America: The First Avenger. He started off as Steve Rogers’s best friend, who stood by him and defended him when he couldn’t stand up for himself. Bucky’s strong morality also led him to join the army in World War II, where he fought for his country. Unfortunately, during one of his missions, he was captured by Hydra and brainwashed into becoming the Winter Soldier. Bucky’s arc in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is his redemption for everything he did during that time, and he ultimately stands by Sam Wilson, just like he did for Steve Rogers.
