Video: New trailer for Jason Isaacs’ television drama series “Awake”
Jason Isaacs – the actor who portrayed Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter series – has a new show airing on NBC called Awake. We shared with you the pilot episode of the show earlier (unfortunately this was only available in the US), and today we have the official trailer for the premiere.
Awake features Jason Isaacs as a detective living in two different realities. His character, detective Michael Britten, regains consciousness following a severe car accident involving his wife Hannah [Laura Allen] and his son Rex [Dylan Minette]. Upon regaining consciousness, Michael begins to live in two realities, one while he is awake and the other while he is asleep. However, he is unable to distinguish which one is real and which one is the dream. His character begins moving back and forth between the two “realities”, dealing with different personal conflicts and police partners as well as psychologists.
The executive producer of the series, Howard Gordon, also produced television hit series Homeland, 24 (this editor’s favorite show), the X-Files, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The show airs this Thursday on NBC at 10PM. Check your local listings for channels and times.
